Careers

Come build software that runs where it is used

We hire people who want to own problems rather than tickets. Our interns get real projects, our seniors still write code, and nobody is a resource.

Remote friendly

Two to four hours of overlap with UTC+3, at your choice. Many of our engineers are outside the capital permanently.

Learning budget

Annual budget for courses, books and conferences, plus five working days for learning on company time.

Real ownership

Engineers talk to clients directly. No account layer translating your engineering decisions into vague feedback.

Job openings

0 open roles

Full time positions across our three delivery hubs. Every listing includes the salary band.

Internships

Four months, with a real project

Our internship is not a coffee rota. You get a mentor, a scoped project, code review culture and deployment responsibility in the second half. Several of our current engineers started here.

What we look for

  • Something you built that you can walk us through
  • Curiosity about how systems behave when they fail
  • Honesty about what you do not know yet

Hiring process

Four steps, about two weeks

We believe in problem solving. We are testing how you think and whether we would enjoy working with you.

01

Intro call

Ten minutes with the hiring lead. You ask about the work and we ask about your experience. Both directions.

02

Assignment

A short, scoped problem to solve. We are testing how you think and how you go about solving a problem, not whether you can write a perfect solution.

03

Technical conversation

An hour with an engineer who would work with you. Real problems from our codebase, discussed out loud.

04

Team and offer

Meet the team, then a written offer with the salary band stated up front.

Questions

What candidates ask us

Internships, remote work, the interview process and what to send with an application. Every full-time role we publish includes its salary band.

Do you offer internships?

Yes. Our internship runs four months, is paid, and comes with a mentor and a scoped project. In the second half interns take deployment responsibility, and several of our current engineers started in the programme.

Do you hire remotely?

Some roles are location-flexible and some are based in our Addis Ababa, Hawassa and Bahir Dar hubs. Every listing states its location, and remote roles expect overlap with East Africa Time.

What does the hiring process look like?

Four steps over about two weeks: an introductory call, a technical conversation with the engineers you would work alongside, a practical exercise drawn from real work, and a conversation about terms.

What should I send with an application?

A CV or a link to your GitHub, plus something you built that you can walk us through and what you would do differently now. Send it to [email protected] with the role title in the subject line.

Are salary bands published?

Yes. Every full-time listing includes the salary band, so you know the range before you spend time on an application.

Let's build together

Tell us what you are building. We will tell you honestly whether we are the right team for it.

Send a paragraph about the problem. You will get a reply from an engineer, not a form letter, within one business day. If we are not the right fit, we will usually know someone who is.

What happens next

  1. 1 We reply with initial questions, a rough range and whether we are the right fit.
  2. 2 A call or a workshop with the engineers who would actually do the work.
  3. 3 A paid discovery phase produces a written scope and a number we can stand behind.
